----------------------------------

Dr Feto sighed as she sat on her small, red cushioned chair. The seat had back cushion then small curved support, then the seat. It looked rather like a cheep office chair.
‘Why am I always the one to be picked to deal with the psychos?’ She wondered as her eyes watched the door with a bored interest.
Feto was an averaged sized irken with pinkish-red eyes, long female eyelashes, light green skin, a slim frame and a pair of neck length curled antenna. She was wearing her researches white coat with a dark blue shirt underneath and a pair of black pants with standard boots. On each of her antenna she had a small gold clip, the irken equivalent of an earring, and on her shirt she had her pass-code and ID tag so people knew her name. In one un-gloved clawed hand she held an electronic clipboard and in the other a touch-screen pen. On her back, like every normal irken, was her PAK with three large pinkish-red spots.
In front of her were five chairs, much like her own. However, these chairs had been modified to be unmovable from the floor and there was a small metal clip on the floor behind the chairs which connected to a cable running under the floor itself. The chain on the backs of the irken straightjackets would connect with this clip keeping the irken’s from going anywhere past a few inches. The people destined to sit in these chairs, were not meant to ever move from them.
The room was simple enough, a door, a space for the chairs and the doctor so her soon-to-be research group would sit in a small semi-circle with her looking forward at them. A computer sat on a desk in the far right corner behind her; some posters on the wall added a small touch at personalisation, advertising the different parts of a PAK and the connection to the irken brain while some just had a picture and a funny caption.
The walls were a soothing light blue and the floor was a deep green colour. All designed to make the occupants calmer. However, Feto wondered how any irken could feel calm when strapped in an un-escapable straightjacket, a mouth-guard placed over their mouths and a shock collar around their necks.
And knowing this bunch of irken’s, she would be lucky if they even answered her at all.
Her communicator attached to her waist suddenly blinked and she took it off to look at it. A single message ran across the screen, ‘Subjects entering now.’
Feto swallowed down her nerves as the old familiar feeling of spine chilling fear crept into her. She knew they couldn’t get her. She knew she was perfectly fine. She knew that with the touch of a button on her pad she could sent enough electricity through them to send them unconscious for three hours.
But still…it was always unnerving being near this lot, and in all her years, she’d never gotten used to it.
The door opened, and a serious looking guard walked in. In one hand he carried a tight chain, and in the other, a gun with a shock baton attached to the end. He dragged in an overweight looking irken who had a slightly smaller than average height. He was dressed in the same uniform all detained insane irken’s wore, the black and white striped shirt, black pants and boots. However, over his shirt he had a very tight looking dirty white straightjacket that kept his gloveless hands to his sides; it also had a chain leading out the back which the guard behind him held. His PAK wasn’t covered, but it didn’t need to be as it had long been disabled apart from the very basic survival motions. He had short antenna, and darkened green eyes that matched his dark green skin.
He was marched in at gunpoint, himself remaining completely silent as he was ordered to sit down on the far left chair. His back-chain was then connected to the clip in the floor, and a test pull from a guard made the chain recoil tightly, making the insane irken grunt in discomfort as he was pulled back into his chair.
This was the insane irken, Gar.
“Morning Gar,” Dr. Feto said as pleasantly as she could to him, being in his presence sent a very special creep across her skin. This irken had not killed as many as the others, but it was what he had done to them, and who he had killed that made him so dangerous.
“Morning Doctor,” he replied slowly, his voice was slimy and he grinned, flashing his sharpened teeth behind his mouth-guard. That was one of the few things all irken’s in this group had in common, all their teeth had been sharpened to be able to tear raw meat off bone.
Feto, like almost every other irken in the asylum, even the insane ones, hated Gar, and he knew it. Gar was the oldest in the group and before arriving in the asylum he had been a teacher of battle strategy to very young irken soldiers. He was obnoxious, creepy and had a dirty mind. He often used vulgar terms to describe things, and would boast, loudly about the things he had done. No one liked him, and he revelled in that fact.
The next irken was brought in, irken Neep, distracting Feto away from her disgust at Gar’s very presence. Neep was brought in and sat down in the exact same manner as Gar, taking the seat next to the overweight irken.
Neep was a taller than average irken, almost tall enough to be of advisor height and was slim, but not thin. He wore the same clothes as Gar, but he had deep red eyes, long antenna and a thin, defined face with grass-green skin.
Feto didn’t feel as bad with Neep, even though the irken was indeed very highly dangerous. But he had an odd regal air about him. He never argued or fought with the guards. He was very pleasant and quiet and he enjoyed listening to irken classical music and reading works of alien literature. He was very intelligent, charming, and he probably deserved to be at some rich irken’s business party discussing the finer points of industry with other entrepreneurs, which is what he once was before arriving at the asylum.
Feto actually smiled at Neep. “Morning Neep, how are you?”
Neep made a small smile beneath his mouth-guard. “I’m doing well my dear Dr. Feto.” He even talked high-class; “I hope this group session will be pleasant, even if I do have to sit next to him,” And his eyes darted hatefully at Gar, who sneered back.
Suddenly, a loud and off-key singing could be heard from outside, distracting the three irkens. The next psycho was being brought in, and everyone knew who this was. They all even groaned collectively.
This was irken Sideos. He was dancing lightly as the guards pulled him into the room, and he was singing a Zimadonna tune.
He was the thinnest out of them all, his cheek bones showing on his face and his clothes hanging from him. He had dark skin and scary purple eyes, ones that definitely belonged to a killer. He was pulled in roughly due to his insistence on dancing to his singing, and strapped into the middle chair. He was the only irken to have his hands bound in protective material, as he had sharpened his claws into blades so he could cut through flesh and bone. One of his overused jokes was that he was a very ‘hands on’ person.
Feto sighed in annoyance. Sideos was once an invader, however, it seems that he had snapped at some point during his mission and had literally exterminated a whole race of people. He was annoying, cheerful, loud, and had something of a narcissistic quality about him, like he felt he was better then everyone else in the asylum. Probably because he had killed the most, although, he was only here for the irken murders he had committed, so the alien murders technically didn’t count. It wasn’t that people hated him like people hated Gar, but one could only spend a certain amount of time with him before he got really annoying. And besides, get him on the subject of irken politics or defects, and he’d tear your head off.
Feto managed a smile at the now whistling Sideos. “Morning Sideos.”
“Mornin’ Feto,” he grinned back at her. He then turned to the other irkens. “Mornin’ Neepy, Gar…” He trailed off and glared at the last irken, who only glared back.
Feto knew she had to interrupt the two before something bad happened, which often seemed to happen when Sideos was around.
“Look, the next member of the group is here,” she said, pointing towards the door.
Sirra, aka, little miss sadomasochist. She was about two or three inches smaller then Sideos, had rose-red eyes and delicate green skin. Her eyelashes were long and were enhanced by black makeup that went of in a thin line ending at her temples. She had a skinny frame and wore the same clothes as the other inmates. Before being caught she had worked as a chemist, dealing out various medicines to slave aliens on Conventia, but she had also used her position and knowledge for her own ends, which is what eventually got her caught.
She was pulled, very roughly into the room due to the fact she was struggling against the guards. However, the look in her eye and her grin showed that she quite enjoyed being almost yanked across the room by the angry guards.
She was forced into her chair, and clipped like the others to prevent any more movement.
She turned her head to shout over her shoulder at the guards, “Thank you boys!”
Feto looked at Sirra with unamused eyes. “Morning Sirra.”
She blinked innocently back. “Morning sweetie.”
Sirra was…unusual, almost unique in her insanity. She was a sexualised defect, which in itself was not something incurable; however, it was the very nature of her desires that had saved her from being re-educated and instead placed in an asylum for insanity research. She flaunted herself more then any other irken in the asylum, something which annoyed everyone, especially Sideos. Her sex drive seemed to be in constant turbo-mode, so she would try it on with all the other defects in the asylum. She would be on top of the world one moment, and suicidal the next, which meant many of the inmates tried to have nothing to do with her.
Sideos half-grinned half snarled, “Mornin’ Sirra, fucked anyone yet?”
This was part of the game the two played; it was called ‘who could piss each other off the most’. Sirra however, knew exactly how to piss Sideos off, which often meant he lost the game straight away.
She fluttered her eyes at him, and smiled sweetly, although it was hard to tell from behind the mouth-guard. “You know I’m saving myself for you Siddy-kins.”
Neep sighed in annoyance and rolled his eyes as Sideos tried to leap of his chair to kick Sirra, but the cable pulled him swiftly back into place. Gar laughed in that loud, belly laughing way of his and Sirra giggled venomously.
“Why are things laughing?” came a sweet, girlish voice from the entrance of the room.
All eyes turned to look upon the last member of the group, and Dr Feto smiled, glad that she could finally get this thing started.
Tika was the only inmate allowed to wear her own clothes, which was a long sleeved light purple straightjacket, which was right now tied up at the back. Other then that she had black pants and boots. She had long curled antenna and long eyelashes with deep purple eyes, but she had makeup around them to make them darker and with little thorn-spikes coming off them, giving her innocent looks a hint of danger. She had a slim, youthful face with a small scar on her left cheek. She was about the same height as Sirra and had a similar skin tone.
Tika was clicked into her seat without any struggle, but she seemed nervous at the others in the room. Tika was like that, she didn’t seem to get on well with other irkens. It took her a long time to learn to trust, or even properly recognise others. Most of the time she was a nice person, not very easy to understand, but nicer then most residents of the asylum, but sometimes it was like she just snapped and she tired to viciously attack anyone around her, then she had be to carted back to her room from wherever she was at the time.
Many took pity on her, but still kept an air of caution around her, after all, she was an insane murderer.
The reason she had her own shirt, as well as makeup, was because it was part of a reward scheme at the asylum. If the inmates could behave well for a month or so, then they’d be rewarded. Tika had got her shirt and makeup, Sirra had also got makeup, Sideos had got his music CD’s, Neep got his books and classical music and Gar got a small TV to watch, although, should they behave badly, things were taken away from them, which was why Sideos, Gar and Sirra rarely got anything at all.
Feto watched as the guards retreated to the far corners of the room and nodded to her. She nodded back, feeling better that there were now armed guards with guns to protect her.
Feto turned and smiled at Tika. “Good morning Tika.”
Tika smiled like a happy smeet behind her mouth-guard. “Hello snack!”
Feto blinked and took a deep breath. This was going to be a long day.
Sideos stretched his legs out. “Well, lets get this show on the road then.”
Neep scowled at him, “Don’t be so rude. Wait until the good Dr. Feto asks you a question before talking.”
Sideos raised an antenna at Neep. “Wow, that rod up your ass is really jammed tight today, eh Neepy?”
Sirra nodded. “Yea, Neep, its not like we have to give her any respect, so why should we?”
Gar growled from his seat, “You smeetlings have no respect for anyone but yourselves.”
Sirra sneered at the fat irken, “Shut up perv, no one was talking to you.”
“Me a perv?” Gar laughed cruelly back, “Look who’s talking slut.”
“People, please!” Feto almost shouted. “Let’s just get this over with, ok? Then you won’t have to see each other for the rest of the day.”
The group immediately quietened down.
Dr Feto took a deep breath, breathed out, and began. “Ok, so, we all know why we’re here.”
“Tika don’t,” Tika piped up, “Tall one said Tika was to come to talky talk,” her tone suddenly switched to be…darker. “Snacks for her…”
Feto turned to look at Tika. “Well, Tika, we’re here today to talk about why you…murdered your…victims.” Feto tried to put that in the best possible words without shivering.
A sort of muffled laughter ran through the group, like a private joke had been mentioned, even Neep grinned, but covered it with a cough and went back to his serious face.
Feto narrowed her eyes at the group, but ignored the quiet laughter and continued. “Well, we hope that through this exercise we can get a step further to curing you of your illnesses, so please co-operate with us.”
“Us? We?” Sideos quipped. “How many are there in that head of yours, Feto?”
The group, apart from Neep, sniggered viciously again.
Feto glared daggers at Sideos for a moment before continuing. “Well, we best get started, unless anyone else has any more witty remarks?”
The room was silent for a moment. Then suddenly Tika said, “When’s lunch?”
The others laughed again, louder this time. Tika however, didn’t get her own unintentional joke and so just looked confused at the others, however after a moment she just started laughing anyway. “Tika funny!”
Dr Feto took another deep, very annoyed breath and coughed loudly, making the others stop laughing and pay attention to her.
“Enough!” She snapped, “Or do you want to lose your good rewards?” Instantly the group quietened.
She shifted in her seat, an indication she was beginning the talk. “Ok, we want to know how you felt when you…killed your victims and…ate them.”
She felt kind of sick asking this, but she refused to show it. One thing you learn when dealing with psychopaths is to never, ever show any signs of weakness, the moment you do, they’ll start to use it against you. These five, whether they knew it or not, were masters of emotional manipulation, each one could get inside your head in seconds and begin to pick your fears apart, read your expressions and exploit them until they had complete control over you.
And if they got control over you, then there was no way they were ever going to let you go.
When none of then answered right away, Feto looked to Gar. “Gar, since you were here first would you like to start?” She really didn’t want to hear what he had to say, she didn’t expect anyone to, but this was for the sake of research, so she would have to bare it.
“Whoa,” Sirra said, suddenly interrupting Gar before he could even start, “I don’t wanna hear what he has to say.” Feto was almost thankful someone had spoken her thoughts out loud.
“Yea,” Sideos added, hate clearly in his voice, “That fat fucker is sick, really sick, and I don’t wanna hear what he did to those kids.”
Gar sneered at the two, “Oh? And what you guys did was any worse?”
Sirra growled. “We all crossed lines Gar, but you…you went so far overboard not even a black hole could reach you.”
Gar chuckled, “Admitting that I’m better then you?”
“Hey! I’m the best here!” Sideos shouted. “I’ve done things you’d only see in videos of me doing them!”
Gar chuckled darkly, “Same here Sid, same here.”
Sideos made a very low growling noise, like a very pissed off predator. Sirra just narrowed her eyes hatefully at Gar. Tika kind of curled up in a small ball, she wasn’t sure what they were saying, but by the way they were talking was scaring her. Her eyes seemed to switch between scared and furious, and she muttered something that sounded like “head eats”.
“Please, be quiet,” Feto said to Sideos and Sirra while not really meaning it. She didn’t ask Gar to continue, she didn’t want him to continue.
But he did anyway.
“Well,” Gar said, a sick, dark tone adding itself to his voice, “I only ate my most precious students. The ones I…loved the most.”
Sideos again tried to jump up out his chair at the irken, Sirra looked like she wanted to follow suit, and Neep looked openly disgusted just to be sitting near Gar.
“I led them by the hand into my apartment’s basement, so then I could make them mine permanently,” Feto felt like throwing up, and she didn’t hide it because it looked like the others in the room would do the same. A horrible silence had befallen them as Gar darkly, joyously continued. “It was fun listening to them scream. Then when I’d strangled them, I cut their little bodies into bits. I could take pieces of them into work the next day and eat them in front of the other students while picking out which ones I wanted to love next. They only caught me when one of the damn smeetlings escaped.”
“YOU SICK FUCK!” Sideos yelled at him, making everyone jump, “YOU SICK FUCKING FUCKER!” he again, tried to jump up from his chair, but was yanked back into place by the straightjacket cable.
Neep looked down and shook his head sadly. “Oh…that’s…just wrong. Even for people like us…”
Sirra shook her head slowly at the older irken. “You bastard…”
Tika curled tighter and whimpered, “Go away nasty thing,” Her tone switched again, “She’ll rip you in two evil snack.” Then suddenly she changed back to scared.
Gar smirked behind his mouth-guard, “It made me feel like a Tallest, having the power of life or death over them. I could make these little ones do anything I wanted, whenever I wanted it…”
“Gar! That’s enough from you.” Dr Feto snapped at him. She was clutching her notepad so hard her claws hurt. She was actually shaking with anger and disgust. The moment she was out of this thing she was going to make sure that Gar never got any more rewards ever again, she was going to make him pay in any way she possibly could.
She turned her eyes quickly to Neep, who looked like he was about to cry at the very thought of what Gar had done to those young irkens.
“Neep,” She asked, almost softly, “Tell us about your experience. How did it make you feel?”
“Horrible.” Neep replied in a single word. “I hated myself so much…but I couldn’t control myself.”
Sideos and Sirra looked at Neep silently, unusual behaviour for such normally loud and attention seeking people. Something that Feto quickly noted down.
Neep looked up to the ceiling, as if looking for an answer there. “It started when I was still doing my ten year conscription in the military. I started getting these…urges. Urges to attack other irkens, especially females, urges to rip their clothes off and…mate with them.” His voice was thick with self-disgust. He looked down from the ceiling to Feto. “I fantasised about raping these people, about tearing their bodies to shreds and…and eating their skin. I started hearing voices in my head, trying to persuade me to do it, to rape and hurt and feed on them.”
Neep shivered at his own description. “I held these voices off for as long as I could, for almost eighty years in fact. Everyday was an inner battle over my own urges. Then, one day, I couldn’t help it. I needed to…release on something, someone or I’d kill myself.” He chuckled slightly. “Maybe that would have been the better option.”
He sighed. “Anyway, I drove out to the very slums of Irk, right into the underground living centres were all the drones and slaves live, I thought that maybe no one would miss a worthless slave. Then, I picked out a girl, one who looked homeless, useless, one who looked like they had no point in living…and I did it.”
He finished simply.
There was a moment of silence before Sideos suddenly said, “Go on?”
Neep raised his antenna in surprise that both Sideos and Sirra were hanging on his every word. Tika was looking at him with a childish interest and even Gar was silently paying attention.
“Erm…well,” Neep blinked, “I…” He gulped, “…Enjoyed it.”
“Enjoyed it?” Feto inquired, “How so? Because of the power and control?”
“Yes,” Neep answered, more to himself then to the Dr., “But also…something was…satisfied within me. A need was filled, some kind of horrible fury maybe, I’m not sure.”
Sirra looked a Neep softly, “It’s called bloodlust dear. All of us in this room have it, well, except the Dr.”
Neep sighed. “Well, whatever it was, I soon found that one kill wasn’t enough. The voices started coming again, louder, and I again tried to hold them off, but it was even harder then before…so I raped and killed again, and again, and again. I got addicted to the thrill and the rush and the…” He edged on the last word, not wanting to admit to it.
Sirra again filled him in, “Pleasure?”
Sideos darted a quick glare at her before turning back to Neep.
“Yes, yes if that’s what you want call it,” he said sadly. “Eventually however I was caught, I knew I would be. I was glad, I was finally being stopped. I admitted to everything and was brought here.”
Feto smiled warmly, half pitying half glad that he’d finished. “That was very good Neep, very good indeed. Thank you for sharing that.”
Sideos made a “pff” sound and looked away from Neep, leaning back into his chair. “Quitter…”
Feto narrowed her eyes angrily at Sideos. “Well? How about you Sideos? What was it like for you?”
Sideos looked at her and sneered like a rebellious student insulting their teacher. “Well, if you must know, I don’t actually remember most of it.” He smiled and lolled his head back on his chair, his voice taking on a dreamy tone. “It was all kinda in the heat of the moment, if you will.”
“Really,” Feto said, sounding unconvinced.
“Well…” Sideos said, looking back up. He frowned and looked like he was honestly trying to remember. “…I remember being really angry on Devastus for some reason. And I remember my voices telling me hurt people. And I remember loving violence and the sight of blood and watching videos of people being stabbed to death.” He spoke with a kind of sick eagerness that one would use to voice a favourite hobby, “So I used to walk around in my spare time, beating up younger irkens and looking for vermin and little creatures to kill.”
He smiled at the hazy memory. “Yea…I think I used to eat those…not sure.” He frowned as his mind drifted for a second before jumping back, “Anyway,” he continued with renewed vigour, “I got the top score at Devastus for hand-to-hand fighting, and so they put me up for Invader-ship. Which I got,” he announced proudly, “So, they sent me to this little place called Dilico, had all these little mammals with tails and big teeth and pointy ears.”
He grinned, now he was at his favourite part, “So I exterminated them…all of them. I got to act out every little fantasy I’d had back in training. Everything I’d ever wanted to do, I did to those helpless little furry things.” He closed his eyes and leaned back, “Oh…it was like a playground of death.”
Feto shifted in her chair at the disturbed irken’s description of his personal genocide. Gar was scowling at him, Neep shared the same expression, but probably for different reasons, and Tika was amazed at the way this odd big scary eyed thing acted.
Sirra was, however, hanging on his every word. She had a strange smile on her face, and her eyes looked slightly unfocused, as if her thoughts were elsewhere.
Sideos didn’t notice and continued on. “You’d think you’d get bored of murder, but you don’t. It just got more fun inventing ways to torture and hurt people. Even the voices in my noggin went away for a while.” He paused opening his eyes. “BUT THEN!” He was suddenly furious, and he jumped back forwards, fixing Feto with a murderous look. “They had to come and stop me! Those damn defects showed up and said I was ill! I mean, I know I was, but they decided to lock me up! I’d completed my damn mission, and these defects decided I’d done wrong!”
“So what did you do?” Sirra said dreamily. She’d heard this story a million times from Sideos, but to her, it never got boring, not when she could imagine Sideos doing all those painful things to her.
“Yes,” Tika said slowly, “tell her.”
Sideos missed Sirra’s tone and look completely, “Well, they sent in these retrieval teams, six to a team, three of them, and I decided to take them out.” He snarled, “Those defective bastards wouldn’t take me without a fight. I took them by surprise, tore them into shreds, ripped out their eyes and took great delight in eating their hearts. I had power over their fear and their terror, and when I had them, I removed their defective hearts from their chests and devoured them, making sure they couldn’t beat a single pump of defective blood through their veins ever again. I pledged that I would make it my new mission to kill all those defects who put down real irken’s, but then I was caught, so my new mission is on hold right now.”
He smiled sickly; clearly he could remember those events perfectly. “But I miss Dilico so much…”
“Mmm…me too Siddy, me too,” Sirria dreamily said next to him.
Sideos finally caught on to Sirra’s mood. “Wha…you SICK girl!” He shouted at her, “You’re thinking about me aren’t you?! You’re getting off on this!”
She nodded, still looking unfocused and dreamy. “Mmm-humm.”
Gar chuckled, “And you said I was sick.”
Neep shook his head. “You shouldn’t delight in pain, its wrong.”
Tika licked her lips, “Tika hungry now, Tika want snacks and cookies.” Her eyes darkened, “Give her cookie juice.”
Feto sighed and raised her voice. “Alright people, alright, let’s move on.” She made a few notes and then looked at Sirra, “Sirra, please share your…experience with the group.”
Sirra grinned wickedly behind her mouth-guard. “It’d be my pleasure.”
Sideos snorted in disgust and looked away from the female.
Sirra grinned wider at Sideos loathing of her and shifted in her seat, sitting herself up straighter.
“Well,” She started like it was just normal gossip talk, “I was in conscription when it first happened, when I first began getting the urges.”
Sideos growled and still refused to look at her. Sirra continued regardless. “Whenever we watched films about how to interrogate prisoners I would imagine myself in the film, being beaten and cut and hurt, being controlled by a stronger, painful force. But I would also fantasise about me doing it back to them, about me controlling their pain and their suffering. All that blood and flesh everywhere and all over me…I had to hold myself back in training to stop myself from making others suffer like I wanted them to, and sometimes I’d let myself get beaten up in hand-to-hand training just to feel that wonderful pain and taste my own blood in my mouth.”
Sideos made an annoyed growling noise and Sirra’s eyes narrowed, she was getting to him and they both knew it.
She looked back to Feto, who was looking slightly paler then before. “When I got out of conscription I did what I was told to do, go work as a chemist. But I soon realised that I could use it for my own advantage. I would go out to all-night restaurants and pick out irken’s that I wanted and then when they were distracted I would put certain chemicals in their food. The effects would put a normal irken’s libido into overdrive to the point were they’d rape the first thing they saw.” She giggled darkled, “That of course would be me.”
Sideos finally snapped. He tried to leap from his chair at Sirra, but his cable stopped him and pulled him swiftly back into his chair.
He growled and snarled at the laughing female. “You sick fucking defect. If I could, I’d have torn you in two by now.”
She laughed and ignored Sideos. “Oh,” She closed her eyes, remembering her assaults fondly, “The pain of being beaten by these rabid sex-crazed males, of all my clothes being torn off me and all control being ripped away…” She sighed pleasurably, “It was bliss.”
Sideos looked like he was about to explode with rage. Gar had a mixture of disgust and sick interest on his face, while Neep just glared disapproving daggers at her. Tika was confused; the tall one was talking about being hurt, but in the wrong way. She blinked and cocked her head slightly; odd tall ones were funny to watch.
Sirra opened her eyes slowly, “Of course, they didn’t get all the fun, I would rape them back. I would get a knife from my boot and stab them in their backs while they were pressing themselves against me, their screams would mix with mine.” She giggled again, “I would bite into them and tear them apart, my blood mixing with theirs. My boss would ask about the scars and bruises, but I just said I was clumsy. I was caught when I accidentally picked another sexualised defect and his mate came looking for him.”
She started laughing, “The look on her face! Seeing her lover rape me without control while I tore his back open with my knife!” Her laugher filled the room, “It was HILARIOUS!” When she noticed no one else was laughing she stopped and sighed. “Well, I guess you had to be there.”
An odd silence settled in the room, with everyone looking at Sirra with wide eyes, apart from Sideos, who looked at her like a wolf looks at an intruder on its territory.
“Thank you, Sirra,” Feto said, finally breaking the silence, “That was…very informative.” Feto was actually telling the truth on this one. Compared to the others Sirra’s case offered a rather unique perspective, the others dealt out suffering, but she inflicted suffering on herself. Feto had quickly identified a pattern of control in all of them; they all wanted to control something or someone. They had all had narcissistic qualities to themselves, believing themselves to be better then their victims, and having the control over their fear, pain and indeed lives was a simple projection of that those feelings.
But why? Why did they want this control? Why did they get these urges as they’d described them? What made them become the beings they were today? Was it a single point in their smeethood where some great tragedy effected their minds? Or was it a long stream of smaller events, little signposts that they followed that slowly led them down the path to insanity? Or maybe it was a PAK malfunction, like an electrical surge had affected them; after all, the number of defective irken’s had risen since the twin horrible painful overload days.
There was also the issue of this need to kill they felt within them. Almost like a compulsion, they couldn’t seem to hold these feelings back. They couldn’t control themselves like normal irken’s, so maybe that’s where this need for power and control over others came from. But why did they need to make people hurt, to make others suffer, to kill?
Feto turned to Tika, who was quietly muttering things to herself in constantly shifting tones. Gar was arguing, once again, with Sideos and Sirra while Neep was sitting looking like he wanted to go back to his cell and his precious books.
Tika was the last one to be questioned, so maybe she would provide the link, although, with her state of mind, it was unlikely.
“Tika,” Feto said loudly, so that the others stopped bickering, “Would you like to tell us why you, erm, eat people?”
Tika blinked, “What?”
Gar rolled his eyes. “Why do you kill, moron?”
Tika growled at him, “She kills to feed.”
Sirra looked at Tika softly. “Tika, deary, can you tell the nice lady why you hurt people?”
Dr. Feto was about to scold Sirra for asking questions only the Dr was meant to ask, but Tika’s reaction made her stop.
Tika nodded rapidly. “Ok!” She then closed her eyes, like she was trying to remember something. Sideos grinned and gave a sly, amused look to Neep.
“This should be good,” he whispered with a slight snarl.
“Tika eat…snacks when she was…little.” She slowly managed to say, “Tika liked the taste.”
Feto’s antenna rose up slightly, “Is that all?”
Tika nodded than stopped, “Oh! And Tika wanted to make hurt.” She smiled with her tongue hanging from her mouth.
The room was silent for a moment, excusing Sideos’ barely contained laughing. Dr Feto narrowed her eyes disapprovingly at the super-thin irken before looking back to Tika.
“And why did you want to, err, ‘make hurt’?” She asked, a hint of hope on her voice, this could be a great chance to learn more about how Tika’s mind worked.
Tika thought for a moment before suddenly twitching, like something had hit her.
“She likes to kill,” Tika suddenly announced in a very un-Tika voice, “To see the red water, to hear the scream of living foods. We control the pain, we control their lives. It’s not Tika who kills them, it’s her. She hates the taller ones who left her alone…so alone…took her away from littersister Zappy…” She shivered as the memory’s flicked in her twisted mind. She then blinked and smiled again. “Tika hungry! Can we have lunch soon?”
Sideos’ snickering could once again be heard as Feto shook her head slowly, poor girl.
“Very good Tika, very good.” She nodded at the girl.
Feto then looked to the others. “Alright,” she closed her eyes and breathed out, “I guess this session is finished then. You can go now.”
The group, apart from Neep of course, cheered in joy. A quick nod to the guards and one-by-one the irken murderers were removed from the room. Gar, Neep and Tika all went quietly while Sirra once again struggled for her own pleasure and Sideos demanded something for coming out of his cell, needless to say he received a rifle butt across the head and was dragged, sulking, out the room.
Feto looked over her notes on the session. Each killer was joined by a single point, which Feto had circled on her notepad. Control, she’d already figured that out easily. There was also the power, the need to kill, and, as in Neep’s and Sideos’ case, voices in their heads. But…there was something else, something underlining all of these…
Her eyes narrowed as she read through her notes, looking at specific quotes she’d put down. ‘I only ate my most precious students. The ones I…loved the most.’ ‘A need was filled, some kind of horrible fury maybe, I’m not sure.’ ‘Of all my clothes being torn off me and all control being ripped away. It was bliss.’
Dr Feto’s eyes narrowed at these quotes…then suddenly they snapped open.
A single word ran across her mouth, “Sex?”
Could that be the link? That they were all repressing their defective sexualities? It would explain the pressure needed to push their minds to insanity, and the reason why they had urges, the need to release and the translation of their desires into anger, murderous anger.
She grinned to herself; she could get a pay-raise for this if it was proved true. However, her grin dropped when she realised something. Only Sirra, Neep and Gar talked about sexual pleasure through murder, Sideos and Tika had not. Sideos was even repulsed by the idea and Tika didn’t seem to even know the meaning of the word. She knew Sideos had been tested, and his results showed he was still clean, still a virgin, therefore he couldn’t be sexualised. Tika, well, she wasn’t sure, but she was certain the tests would be the same.
She sighed in defeat. Well, the repression theory was out the window. She looked again through her notes. The session hadn’t been a complete waste of time; she’d gotten good answers from Tika and Neep about their feelings, things that they’d been reluctant to say before. Sideos had mentioned being angry through his training, which was mental gold for him considering he could hardly remember a month back. Sirra hadn’t really said anything new, but her reaction to Neep’s and Gar’s story’s had been interesting to witness, as well as her interaction with Sideos and Tika. Gar…well, she hadn’t gotten anything new from him either, but she hardly cared, she never wanted him to get better. If possible she wanted him to get worse, so they could declare him incurable and execute him, but his interaction with Sideos and Sirra had be notable, it seemed he was considered the worst out of the top five murderers in the asylum simply out of what he’d done.
She yawned and stretched in her seat. She stood up, scratching her lower back. She decided to hand her notes in and see what the head of the ward said about them. She also needed some coffee; it’d been a long morning.

WOO!

Well, it's finally done. My little experiment in charicter creation while also introducing a charicter that'll come back to haunt ol' Sid there BIG TIME.

Also, miss *Ravenpuff's charicter's Tika is here. Hope I kept her in charicter...
Thanks for letting me include her! She was much fun to write for, being all 'two sided coin' minded and stuff.

Anyways, a while ago I remember talking with *Sanoon, who HTMLed and beta'd this, and I mentioned "Sideos is only the 3rd most dangerous irken alive." I think Gar is officialy THEE MOST DANGEROUS irken ALIVE.
Seriously, I actually considered taking him out because he was disturbed. But, wanting to take him out is all the reason I needed to keep him in.

Sorry its so long, but hey, it needed to be.
One day I think I'll write a fic about what Sideos did when he finally escaped, I expect he would have walked about freeing the others (cept Gar) so...that would be a fun oneshot. I could include Tika again! And maybe that carer of hers...

Anyways, irkens belong to J.V, Nick and Viacom.
However, Sideos, Gar, Sirra, Neep and Feto are mind ALL MINE.
Tika belongs to miss *Ravenpuff

I'd see this as a great way to introduce characters (considering this is the first thing I've read of yours). It seems natural and akin to a story, but also develops and introduces the characters in unique, engaging, and smooth way. Good job! :D
You may remember me from FF.Net. I go by "R" there. :)
